The project called for a complete overhaul of the interior and building systems, while preserving and restoring historic elements. For instance, the semicircular window at the center of the building was restored to its original appearance, and 2000s-era additions were removed from the interior. We aimed for a boutique feel in the concept, with emphasis on the building's historic character.
The interior makes generous use of textiles and large plants, and unusual, nature-inspired colors for an office — terracotta, soft white, anthracite. The offices feel informal and cozy thanks to mid-20th-century vintage furniture, rounded corners, mirrors, and decorative lighting more typical of a stylish cafe than an office.
